Regular competitions
Royston is unique in the number of competitions that are held. There is always the opportunity to get competitive game and match your golf skills against the field. Every week there are seniors’, mens’, juniors’ and ladies ‘competitions Monday to Friday or on Saturdays and Sundays.
From May to October there are a significant number of club cups to be won and opportunities to get your name on one of the boards in the 19th.
To enter members can put their name down for the draw with their regular partners or take pot luck and make up a tee time and play with some new partners for the first time.
Tee times not required
There is no need to book tee times. Members can roll up and play at just about any time. Check the club diary to see if there is a club match, a society or a regular competition, such as on Sunday mornings, otherwise just turn up and play. You will need to let the shop know if you want to book a buggy, since there are a limited number available.
Always get a game
There are a number of regular groups who play on different days and at different times. On Saturday mornings the REFOS always welcomes new members and on Sundays the Imbibers always make newer members feel at home.
No joining Fee
Many clubs charge a joining fee, but there is no joining fee for Royston at this time. Contact the club for more details.
