The Club Championship is being run over the Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th June. Barry Rouse has kindly agreed that the trophy he presented – the single figure cup – will now be the Club Handicap Champion’s Cup. There is to be no handicap limit and all men with full playing rights are eligible to enter. The Club Championship remains a scratch competition over the two days. players will be automatically entered for both scratch and handicap. A single stableford will be organised for the Sunday for those who cannot or do not wish to play on the Saturday and the Professional’s swindle will run as usual.
On the Saturday, there are no set tee off times so please play when convenient. On the Sunday, there will be tee off times so please sign up on the start sheet.
Please support this event and remain in the Clubhouse on Sunday to support the Scratch and Handicap winners.
On Saturday the 17th June the Club is holding a 125 Competition. This competition will be run on the same lines as Captain’s Day. A start sheet will be posted and all members are invited to enter.
The competition will be a stableford format with winner and places as usual (ladies and men): BUT IN ADDITION; The player with the best scratch score will be awarded the Heath Trophy. It is our intention that in future years the Heath Trophy will be played as an open competition.
Please support these events.
