The ladies were lucky to find some sunny conditions this week in which to play their Monthly Stableford. Sandra Williams and Margory Humphreys both scored 35 points, but Sandra was declared the winner on count back. Kim Bradfield won the ‘Bogey’ competition with a score of +1, whilst Margory Humphreys was second with -2. In the Ladies’ monthly medal Kim Bradfield was again successful, winning with a nett 72 whilst Kath Caunce was runner up with 74.
It was good to see Stuart Phillips back to winning ways as he took top spot in the Saturday Swindle with a score of 41 points. Michael Moor beat Steve Rogers to second on count back as both returned 39. Mark Moule showed that working on the fairways and greens during the week has significantly aided his golfing prowess as he was the clear winner in the February medal played on Sunday. With a nett score of 66 Mark was 4 shots clear of the early club house leaders, Stuart Farrow and Andrew Thurley.
Roger Craigen improved his chance of challenging Ray Sammons for the Senior’s Winter League title as his winning score of 41 points on Friday moved him up into second place overall.
Barry Buckerfield won the Thursday Roll Up this week with 37 points.
