In a very slow week at the club, only the Ladies braved the bitter weather conditions to play their February Medal, already postponed from earlier in the month. With a much smaller field than usual, they turned out on Tuesday to challenge themselves and the frozen course, just before the snow closure which was implemented on Wednesday. Fortunately the sun shone throughout the round, allowing Kim Bradfield to come in first with a nett 73, followed by Lady Captain Sandra Williams with a nett 76.
Other events in the Clubhouse included a very successful Wine Tasting Evening on Friday. Despite the blizzard like conditions that evening, many members and friends still managed to come along and were able to taste and enjoy a variety of different wines and listen to a very informative talk describing the examples that had been selected.
