The club has been celebrating achievements over the year , with the annual Presentation Evening on Friday. Lady Captain Sandra Williams started the ball rolling by awarding the Trophies for the Ladies Section. Out of the many winners, two of our most successful members were Sandy Griffin, who accumulated 5 Trophies in total and Kim Bradfield who was equally fortunate and was also named Golfer of the Year 2018. Club Captain Stuart Steverson continued the night’s events with the Men’s awards. The Club’s most prestigious Trophy, the Adamson China Cup, was presented to James Smith and Peter Rutter was presented with the Professional’s Trophy.
Other events at the Club this week included Alan Lakey winning the Thursday Roll Up with 40 points, followed by Barry Rouse in second place with 39 on count back. On the same day the Past Lady Captains played, narrowly losing against the Lady Captain’s team.
Over the weekend the Saturday Swindle was won by Jonathan Mowatt with 42 points. Finally on Sunday Pete Tidey and Lee Bonney won the 4 BBB and Eclectic Final with 45 points.
