Golf at Royston can be dated back as far as 1624 where the first English golfer, 1st Earl of Buckingham played. The origins of the 18 hole golf course at Royston date back when first laid out by two Cambridge University Students in 1869.

With two 220 yard + par threes and a couple of driveable par fours no two holes are alike, reflecting both the natural terrain and the 125 year history of the club. At 6042 yards Royston is per shot as long on average as most par 72's. The course will delight the enthusiastic golfer; it's location ensures an enjoyable challenge throughout the year .
