Favour the left half of the fairway as the prevailing wind will often push your ball to the right. With a long second shot likely required you need to decide whether to lay up short of the fairway bunkers or take on the green. If the latter, danger lies both left and right of the green.

Insiders View

"The hardest hole on the course. From the tee a full drive with your aim directly down the middle towards the marker post will put you in good position to reach the green with another full fairway shot. A right hand side fairway bunker hidden from view some 100 yards short of the green will gobble up shorter shorts. The approach to the green is better kept left of centre as balls can easily escape off the right-hand side into a green side bunker. The small green is relatively flat with no major borrows."
